We are available for work 7 days per week, and there is NO surcharge for evenings or weekends.
We accept cash, cheques, and some credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Bankcard).
Our standard 3 hour training classes are $200, which includes a small time allowance for setup. For contract programming services, our standard fees apply, with an 8 hour minimum plus any phone charges.
If we have to get out the recovery gear on our way to you, and you should have warned us about the road conditions before asking us to come, we will apply a $50 surcharge.
One easy way to save money is to organise a couple of friends for a training session and split the cost. Better still, organise a community training session in your town. If you can organise enough people and classes, you might even be able to use the classes to raise a little money for your school or Internet centre as well.
For hardware repairs or general help issues, a good method is to set a limit before we start. Just say "I can only afford X dollars today", and we won't charge you more than that. If we can't do the job for the price you can afford, we will tell you so, and only charge you the minimum fee.
There are some services for which we may set a maximum cost. A Windows re-install should take 2 to 3 hours, but can sometimes take a lot longer. Under normal circumstances, we will not charge you for more than 5 hours.
You should also consider alternate payment methods. If our tanks are empty, we'll accept diesel. We'll also accept food or accommodation, in appropriate circumstances. If you have something to offer, let us know.
We do some amount of work for free, donating time to certain non-profit organizations. We will happily assist organizations like TAD or Computer Bank to bring technology to those who otherwise would not have access to it.
We may offer discounts to community service groups that would otherwise have difficulty providing the services they want to offer.
We can also offer deals to people who can help us in the provision of our services. If you can offer us a place to pitch the tent, and access to fresh water and a phone line, we can offer computer help in return. Alternatively, you might have shearers quarters that we could use in return for a little help. These options also help us bring services to communities that may otherwise be difficult to stop in.
