We headed west out of Sydney through a few of our favourite towns, zig-zagging a bit and driving in circles as we often do in that area. Crossing into outback Queensland, we headed toward corner country and slipped into South Australia for a long overdue visit to Innaminka and Coongie Lake. From there it's back into Queensland, and more zig-zagging generally northward towards the gulf.
