The hard part was deciding to drive half way back across the country for one job. That done, we picked a couple of parks along the way to break up the trip, and set off. This journey brings us from the middle of the south coast, back to the western edge of the eastern mountains.
Our rather old data sets refer to Gawler Ranges and Mutawintji by the names of their former homesteads, Paney and Mootwingee. The river we are mapping flows north to join the Darling River, then south to join the Murray River, then back towards where we have come from.
